What is The Balance?
The Balance was the 10th episode aired in season one of the television show Roswell. The episode first aired on December 15, 1999. It was directed by John Behring and written by Thania St. John. In The Balance all of the characters are still feeling the fall out of events in Heat Wave -- Max and Liz finally taking a step toward a relationship, Michael breaking things off with Maria after several passionate moments, and Alex finally finding out the truth about the aliens (though he doesn't really believe it). When Michael finds Max's drawing of the painting from the cave River Dog took he and Liz to, he's upset that Max hid it from he and Isabel. This leads Michael to visit River Dog himself looking for answers, and take part in a "sweat" which upsets his "balance" and makes him terribly ill. As the others race to find a way to help him, the relationships between all of them are tested.

What is a fanlisting?
The fanlisting concept was thought of by Janine, of seraphic-devil.org. There are hundreds of different fanlistings for people, places, things, concepts, tv shows, movies, and couples. What about the layout?
The site is skinned, so there are three different layout choices at present:
v.1 desert of dreams, which features a promotional image of the core group (Michael, Maria, Max, Liz, Isabel and Alex) and one of Michael by himself in the desert of Michael's dreams
v.2 desert of despair, which features a promotional image of the core group (Michael, Maria, Max, Liz, Isabel and Alex) in the desert of Michael's dreams and another one of Max, Isabel, Maria and Liz gathered around a sick Michael
v.3 desert of devotion, which features a promotional image of the core group (Michael, Maria, Max, Liz, Isabel and Alex) and one of Michael and Maria in the desert of Michael's dreams
What about the site?
The site name came about after I re-read the transcript of the episode. The Balance is the episode where the core group of Michael, Maria, Max, Liz, Isabel and Alex really connect with each other and their paths in life, both figuratively (as seen in the next several years) and literally in the circle/wheel of the dream realm.
The graphics were all done by Selene la Luna. The original images used were found on various disks I compiled several years ago, and I'm afraid I don't know where I got them from originally. The PHPFanbase 2.1 script used on this site is Copyright 2003 Sasha, nothing-less.net. All rights reserved. I originally used Sasha's NL-Convert to PHP to convert the site to PHP. The skinning of the site was made possible with Angela's wonderful script phpSiteSkin.
