Hades (Pluto), Persephone (Proserpine) and Their Myth

What is a fanlisting?

The fanlisting concept was thought of by Janine, of seraphic-devil.org. There are hundreds of different fanlistings for people, places, things, concepts, tv shows, movies, and couples. They're individual lists of fans who like that certain subject. If you want to know more, check out the official fanlistings site.

What about the layout?

The site is skinned, so there are three different layout choices at present:

v.1 the abduction, which features a rendition of Hades (Pluto) kidnapping Persephone (Proserpine)

v.2 offerings, which features beautiful artwork of Hades (Pluto) and Persephone (Proserpine) dining

v.3 forbidden fruit, which features an image of two pomegranates, the fruit which bore the seeds Persephone (Proserpine) ate in the Underworld

What about the site?

I debated over the name of the site for awhile, and finally came up with Taken By Love because of the duel meaning of the phrase. In the literal sense, Persephone (Proserpine) was taken by Hades (Pluto) who was in love with her. Figuratively the title has the meaning of being overtaken or taken over by love, which seemed appropriate. :)

The graphics were all done by Selene la Luna. The original images used are from various Google image searches. The PHPFanbase 2.1 script used on this site is Copyright 2003 Sasha, nothing-less.net. All rights reserved. I originally used Sasha's NL-Convert to PHP to convert the site to PHP. The skinning of the site was made possible with Angela's wonderful script phpSiteSkin.
