What is Heavenly Kings?

Heavenly Kings is the TheFanlistings.org approved fanlisting for the Shitennou (Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite and Kunzite) from Pretty Guardian Sailormoon/Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, the live action series based on Takeuchi Naoko's Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon (Sailor Moon) manga and anime series.

Who are the Shitennou?

The Shitennou (which translates as "four heavenly kings") are the four Dark Kingdom generals Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite and Kunzite. Their main mission on Earth is supposed to be trying to find the Maboroshi no Ginzuisho (Illusionary Silver Crystal) and gathering energy for Queen Beryl to help strengthen Queen Metaria (Queen Metallia). As time goes on, however, they begin to learn the truth of their past lives and each has to deal with how that truth changes the present.

The first to appear is Jadeite, the youngest of the Shitennou and the most loyal to Queen Beryl, attempting to use youma to gather energy. Nephrite appears next, and although he's also very loyal to Beryl, so much that he gets extremely jealous of the other Shitennou, he often fails on his missions and is even banished from Beryl's sight on one occasion. Third to appear is Zoisite, who is immediately different from the other two, in that he seems to have very little concern for Beryl. He plays the piano beautifully and uses it to create and control his youma, among other things. Beryl gives him the task of going after Sailor Venus, who they believe to be the Princess. Kunzite is the last to appear, the strongest of the Shitennou, and he feels no loyalty at all to Queen Beryl. He works to strengthen Metaria (Metallia) and destroy Endymion and the Senshi for his own purposes, refusing to bow to Beryl's wishes at every turn.

Jadeite is played by Masuo Jun, Nephrite is played by Matsumoto Hiroyuki, Zoisite is played by Endou Yoshito, and Kunzite is played by Kubodera Akira.

What is a fanlisting?

The site is skinned, so there are two different layout choices at present:

v.1 each his own, which features altered and edited promotional images of the Shitennou -- Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite and Kunzite

v.2 course of events, which features altered and edited promotional images and screencaps of the Shitennou set into filmstrip frames

What about the site?

The site name was decided on fairly easily and quickly, and is part of the translation of the word Shitennou, which means "four heavenly kings."

The graphics were all done by Selene la Luna.
